Some memories
only exist in noise.

TEKNOVUS is an anonymous analog glitch artist working with vintage synthesizers, video hardware and CRT televisions.

The project grew out of a simple fascination with old technology and the things it can do when it is pushed beyond its original purpose. There is something appealing about machines that are imperfect. They drift and react differently from day to day. Sometimes they create something unexpected that could never be planned.

That unpredictability has become a big part of the work.

Images and videos are passed through analog equipment and manipulated in real time. Signals bend and colors separate. Shapes stretch and disappear into feedback. A small adjustment can completely change what is happening on the screen.

There is no fixed formula. Most sessions involve experimenting until something feels right. Some results last only a few seconds before the signal changes again. Capturing those brief moments is part of the process.

The CRT sits at the center of the work. TEKNOVUS records directly from the screen so its scanlines, glow and physical texture become part of the final image. Those qualities are not added afterward. They come from the equipment itself.

There is also a sense of nostalgia in working this way. These machines belong to another era of technology, but they can still produce images that feel unfamiliar and strangely alive.

TEKNOVUS is less interested in making a perfect image than discovering one. The process is about curiosity, patience and allowing the equipment to have some influence over where the work goes.
